"Rough first impression"
My first impression wasn’t great, and it didn’t really improve from there. Uploads seem to hang forever, and even when I finally get something through, the processing fails about half the time. It makes the whole experience feel unreliable

"Pretty quick for most scans"
I’ve been using poly for a bit, it processes my scans fast, fast enough that I don’t get annoyed when I’m doing a few back to back. Smaller stuff usually finishes quicker than I expect, which is nice. Bigger rooms do take longer, and sometimes it feels like it’s just stuck, stuck, stuck for a minute, but it usually gets there in the end. It’s not perfect, but overall the speed works well enough for me

"Great for Quick Scans, but the Free Plan Is Limited"
I’ve been using Polycam for quick scans, and it’s easy to get the hang of. The results have been solid for what I needed, especially when I just wanted to test things out without a big learning curve. That said, the free plan does feel limited, and I ran into the paywall sooner than I expected. Still, I think it’s a reliable way to try the app and see if it fits your needs before committing to a paid plan.
"Decent indoors, but I’m not totally sold"
I’ve been using the LiDAR indoors and it’s been okay overall. It picks up most things fine, but the edges can get a little messy, and I’ve had to rescan certain areas more than once. Maybe I’m just expecting too much, but it feels average to me. Not bad, just not something I’d rave about.

"Really wanted to love it, but it keeps letting me down"
I’ve been using this brand for a while, so I wanted to stick with this app and like it more than I do. When it actually works, it’s cool and the scans are useful. But on my phone it crashes way too often. I’ve had scans freeze halfway through or just disappear, which gets frustrating fast. It also feels like every update fixes one thing but brings in a new bug. I’m kind of torn because I like the brand, but right now the app just doesn’t feel reliable enough.

"My 3D Scan Cleanup Turned Into a Mini Disaster"
I tried using it to clean up my 3D scan, and wow, it somehow made things worse. Instead of smoothing everything out, it left these weird holes and messy edges like the model had been through a tiny digital catastrophe. The tools felt basic and kind of unpredictable, so I ended up spending more time fixing the damage afterward than actually using the cleanup features.

"Super easy to use"
I got it figured out quickly and didn’t run into any hassle at all. Nice and simple experience...
"Quick and Easy Support"
I had a quick question about billing, and support got it sorted really fast. They also canceled my plan without making it a whole thing, which I really appreciated.

"Really handy for job site scans"
I’ve been using Poly Cam on job sites, and in my experience, it’s been solid. The scans come out clear enough for planning things out and sending over to clients, which has made my workflow a lot easier. For me, it’s definitely saved a good amount of time.

"Decent for quick scans, but it misses a lot"
I used poly to scan a few small objects and one room. It worked okay overall, but the accuracy was kind of hit or miss. Some parts came out close, especially flat walls and simple shapes, but corners, thin items, and shiny surfaces either looked warped or were missing completely. It felt like the app just ignored certain details no matter how carefully I tried. For quick rough scans it’s fine, but I wouldn’t count on it for exact measurements. Not bad, just not very consistent.

"Good scans, but the waiting got annoying"
I tried a few room scans and the mesh came out clean overall, without a bunch of weird holes to fix. That part saved me a lot of cleanup time. My only real frustration was the waiting around between scans and processing, it felt longer than I wanted, but the results were solid once it finished.

"Pretty impressed with the quick scans"
I’ve been using poly for this stuff lately, mostly just messing around with small objects, and it’s actually been better than I thought it would be. Took a bunch of photos with my phone and the models came out surprisingly clean, especially considering I wasn’t doing anything too fancy. You do have to get the lighting right and move around slow, otherwise it gets a little weird, but that’s kind of expected. The processing didn’t take long, and the textures looked nice enough for what I needed. Overall it’s been super handy when I just want to scan something quickly without setting up a whole thing.

"Solid upload speeds, honestly"
I’ve been using Poly Cam for a few different projects lately, and yeah, the upload speed has been solid. Even the bigger scans go through without me having to sit there watching it the whole time, which is... nice. Downloads have been quick too. I haven’t had files randomly fail or get stuck like I’ve had happen on other sites. It’s straightforward, not much to overthink — it just does what I need it to do

"Decent app, but support felt slow"
The app itself is okay and does what I need for the most part, but the support experience was frustrating. I waited a few days just to get an answer to a simple question, and when they finally replied it was super short. Maybe they’re understaffed or swamped with tickets, I don’t know, but it definitely didn’t feel great when I needed help quickly.

"I mostly use poly.cam for scanning…"
I mostly use Poly Cam for scanning rooms and smaller objects. Simple stuff, but it’s been really solid for me. The exports have worked great so far, OBJ and GLB files download without any hassle and open in my other apps just fine. No weird glitches. No extra cleanup headaches. that’s the main thing I need.

"Decent app, but exporting was a headache"
I tried Polycam for a few scans, and I mean, the app itself is fine I guess. It worked okay for getting the scans done. But when I went to export, that’s where things got frustrating. The formats I needed either weren’t available or just didn’t behave the way I expected, so I ended up having to use other software to fix things afterward. Maybe I’m missing something, but for the price, I really thought the format support would be better.

"I thought everything was straightforward until these…"
I thought everything was straightforward until these sneaky little costs showed up way too late. it felt like dealing with a bunch of tricksters who waited until the end to spring extra charges on me. Not cool at all

"Decent results, but the workflow feels clunky"
I really wanted to like Polycam, and the scan results can turn out decent. But the whole process feels more fiddly than it needs to be. Uploading and checking a scan took way too many taps, and I kept jumping between options trying to figure out where I was supposed to go next. I’m sure it’s smoother if you use it all the time, but for casual use, it felt more annoying than helpful

"Glitchy on Android and not worth the wait"
I tried using poly.cam on my Android it was frustrating. The app kept freezing, and I spent way too much time just waiting for things to load or respond. Some features didn’t even show up for me, which made it feel like the app is really only built to work well on newer iPhones. I wanted to like it, but the whole experience was annoying.
"Login Issues Make It Hard to Trust"
I’ve had a frustrating time with this because I can’t log in about half the time, which makes me nervous about relying on it for anything important. When something feels that unreliable, it’s just not worth the risk for me. I reached out to support hoping they could help, but they weren’t useful at all, so I’m disappointed.
